For the very first time since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari was seen with a face mask on Thursday, July 23.

The president was seen with a face mask on his arrival at Bamako, the capital of Mali on Thursday. Alongside other leaders of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) led by President Mahamadou Issoufou of Niger Republic,  and President of Ghana Nana Akuffo-Addo .
President Buhari is in the nation for consultation that will seek to bring a lasting solution to political unrest.
They are parts of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) special envoy on a peace mission to Mali which is embroiled in crisis.
Amid heightened efforts towards stopping the socio-political crisis in Mali, former president Goodluck Jonathan and President Muhammadu Buhari have arrived Bamako, capital of the West Africa nation.
The regional leaders are expected to meet with key stakeholders, groups, and leaders of parties in Mali over the political crisis in the country with a view to helping them to find common ground in the search for a solution.
Others on the peace mission include chairman of ECOWAS authority, Macky Sall, President of Senegal, president of Cote d’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara.
