Garba Shehu the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, In a statement on Thursday announced that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the disengagement of Professor Charles Dokubo from office as the Coordinator of the Federal Government’s Amnesty Programme.
He stated that the disengagement of Professor Charles Dokubo takes effect immediately, while the appointment of Retired Colonel Milland Dikio as the Interim Administrator of the programme begins with immediate effect.
According to the Presidential spokesperson, Dikios was to resume duty on his appointment on August 21.
President Buhari expressed his appreciation for the services of the sacked Amnesty Programme chief to Nigeria and wished him the best in his future endeavours.
Adesina added that Professor Dokubo has been directed to hand over all official matters to the most senior officer of the programme.
