DHQ: NAF Bombs Heart Of Sambisa, Kill Many Terrorists

Many Insurgents have been reportedly killed by the Nigerian Airforce during airstrikes in Borno’s Sambisa forest, the Punch reported.

According to ThePunch, the Nigerian Defence Headquarters said that the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole which carried out the mission has continued to deal decisively on the Boko Haram Terrorists domiciled in the North-East.

DHQ spokesman, Maj. Gen. John Enenche in a statement titled ‘Air Task Force destroys hideout, neutralises several terrorists in Sambisa Forest, Borno State’, said the NAF jets bombed “the ‘S’ region in the heart of the Sambisa Forest” on Monday, December 28.

The statement titled, ‘Air Task Force destroys hideout, neutralises several terrorists in Sambisa Forest, Borno State.’

It reads; “The NAF attack aircraft engaged the target area in successive passes, leading to the destruction of some of their structures and logistics stores, including a suspected anti-aircraft gun station as the terrorists fired at the NAF aircraft. Several insurgents were also neutralised in the process.”

Punch claimed that 53-second footage showed the aircraft dropping bombs on the target location.
