Abak Chairman Makes death threats on furniture maker for revealing his attacks on Gov Emmanuel.

Sequence to the recent news trending on the social media and newspapers where Mr Uwem Obot whom Barr. Imo is indebted to the tune of #2.8m naira revealed that the executive Chairman of Abak LGA Akwa Ibom state Barr. Imo Williams attacked and accused Gov Udom Emmanuel of showing lackadaisical attitude towards local governments in the state and also accused the Governor of tampering with the state’s local governments allocations.

The furniture dealer has raised an alarm on a threat to his life by Chairman Barr. Imo Williams and his immediate younger brother and chief of staff Mr Isaiah Williams. Mr Uwem Obot, the furniture maker said that they are threatening to kill him instead of paying his #2.8m debt.

In a video interview he granted to confirm that the Executive Chairman actually attacked the Governor via the council allocation, he also granted another video interview using his local dialect. This time around, he expressed that a death threat was made on his life by the council helmsman and chief of staff.
Mr Obot popularly known as Uwem Assian in the video said that the Chairman has sponsored some hired assassin through his chief of staff Isaiah Williams to assassinate him.
He said ” the younger brother to the Chairman and chief of staff known as Emase called me and told me that I am making a coffin for myself… I replied and told him that he is building a grave for himself. I am fifty-something years of age somebody should tell him he is joking with a wrong person!”
“Either they pay me my debt or kill me as he has already started threatening me, it’s either he kills me or I collect my #2.8m.”
“Again I have heard them accusing Hon. Ekerette Inyang that he sponsored me to make the first video interview in confirmation that Imo Williams actually insulted the governor. I want to ask them when Imo Williams send the Engineer to come and call me in my workshop for the renovation was Ekerette the one that signed the contract paper? Or when I collect the money am I going to give it to Ekerette Inyang when my creditors do not allow me to have sleep every night. You see how irresponsible they are, I am ready to die if asking for my long-standing debt is a death penalty tell them if I die I will have who to bury me but they should choose either they kill me or they pay me”

The furniture dealer who seem very aggrieved, alarmed that the Chairman Barr Imo Williams and his family should be held totally responsible if anything happens to him.
As the events unfold, Chairman Barr. Imo Williams
has issued a press release and denied owing the furniture dealer the sum of #2.8m but rather, the council is indebted to him. The furniture dealer Mr Uwem Assian described Imo Williams denial as a statement by someone who does not want to pay him his debt. He said, “the Chairman did not give him any paper of agreement maybe he can present the same to the next administration of the council.”
Assian also said, “the vice Chairman who was one time on acting capacity paid me #3m because she saw everything that transpired and even can bear me witness to the renovation. Imo Williams claimed smart because he is a lawyer who I have never come across before in court ” I am ready to face him in court either he kills me or sue me to a court or pay me my #2.8m.”

Let it be on record that the furniture maker raised an alarm by reporting to the press that his life is in danger for asking to recover his #2.8m indebted to him by the Chairman of council Barr. Imo Williams and for revealing the insults the Executive Chairman of Abak LGA Barr. Imo Williams made on the governor concerning the allocations of the local government council.
