Buhari Approves Appointment Of New DG NAPTIP

By Chinenye Festus:-

National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) now has a new Director-General in the person of Mrs. Sulaiman-Ibrahim as President Muhammadu Buhari approves her appointment.

This was contained in a statement signed by Garba Shehu on Tuesday, the Senior Special Adviser to the President. She is to replace Julie Okah-Donli, who was appointed by Buhari in 2017.

The statement reads; “President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim as the new Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.

“A holder of BSc (Sociology), Masters of Arts (Management) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degrees, Mrs. Sulaiman-Ibrahim hails from Nasarawa State.

“Until her new appointment, she was a member of the Nasarawa State Economic Advisory Council as well as Special Adviser on Strategic Communication to the Minister of State for Education.”
Okah-Donli’s name was, however, not mentioned in the statement.

The now-former DG Okah- Donli was last month appointed the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund for Victims of Trafficking in Persons.
