#EndSARs: Nigerian Youths Trend ‘Buhari Resign’ Hashtag On Twitter After President’s Speech Regarding The Protest

Newsie Events:-
President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has been called by Nigerian Youths to tender his resignation following his statement on the ongoing #EndSARS protest in the Southern part of the country.
The call came after the President spoke on the ongoing peaceful protest against a police squad – Special Anti-Robbery Squads, SARS whose professional conducts are nothing to write home about. They kill youths, Intimidate them, Extort from them, Harass them, and generally manhandle them all in the name of fighting crime.

President Buhari, via Twitter, hinted at the plans his government is making to have the Police unit reformed. His speech reads, “I met again with the IGP tonight. Our determination to reform the police should never be in doubt. I am being briefed regularly on the reform efforts ongoing to end police brutality and unethical conduct, and ensure that the Police are fully accountable to the people.”
The IG already has my firm instructions to conclusively address the concerns of Nigerians regarding these excesses, & ensure erring personnel are brought to justice. I appeal for patience & calm, even as Nigerians freely exercise their right to peacefully make their views known.
The vast majority of men and women of the Nigeria Police Force are patriotic and committed to protecting the lives and livelihoods of Nigerians, and we will continue to support them to do their job.”

This, however, does not seem enough for the youths protesting EndSars as they called out the president in unison through the microblogging platform, Twitter, with the ‘Buhari Resign’ hashtag.
