NDDC Says Report About Covid-19 Palliatives To Lawmakers Is False

By Chinenye Festus:-
The Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC has cleared the air on the alleged Covid-19 Palliatives given to some members of the Senate.
This reaction came as a result of the report flying around which was credited to NDDC acting Director (projects) Cairo Ojuogboh. Ojuogboh denied making such utterance in a statement issued on Tuesday, September 1st.
Ojougboh said that as the executive director of the Interim Management Committee (IMC), he has championed a campaign to cleanse the NDDC of obvious corruption and frivolous payments.
And he would have resisted such a payment if it was brought up. He noted that the main priority of the lMC is to restore the Niger Delta region to sustainable stability and growth.

His statement reads in part: “I want to state without equivocation, without any hint of doubt, that I neither issued nor made such a statement. Indeed, there is no provision in the commission’s budget for such a payment.”

Ojuogboh however asks the senate to disregard that report and assures them of their preparedness to work with them to move the agency and make it worthy to meet the needs of people in the region.
