A’IBOM EX NMA PRESIDENT APPOINTED SECRETARY OF THE COMMONWEALTH MEDICAL ASSOCIATION COVID-19 RESPONSE COMMITTEE

The Nigerian Medical Association Akwa Ibom State branch has received with great delight the appointment of our Immediate Past Chairman, Dr (Elder) Aniekeme Uwah JP, as a Member/Secretary of the COVID-19 Response Committee of the Commonwealth Medical Association.
The announcement which was made in a letter personally signed by the President of the CMA, Dr Osahon Enabulele, described Dr Uwah as knowledgeable and experienced with an “avowed commitment to the progress of the CMA”.

3. Dr Terry John
4. Dr Colin Abel
5. Dr Joy Mugambi
6. Dr N.L. Orhue
Dr Aniekeme Uwah, who is the Akwa Ibom State Epidemiologist and the immediate past Chairman of the NMA South-South caucus has since accepted his appointment.
The Commonwealth Medical Association was established in 1952. The Association, also known as the CMA, is a non-governmental organization and its main objective is to assist and strengthen the capacities of national medical associations (NMAs) of countries within the Commonwealth to improve the health, well-being and human rights of their countries and communities.
