Femi Falana (SAN) Asks FG To Ensure Maximum Security To Put Out Tension Ahead Of Ondo, Edo State Elections.

Human rights activists and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Mr. Femi Falana has explained that maximum security is needed ahead of Ondo and Edo gubernatorial elections in order to reduce tensions that campaign may cause.
According to Channels TV, Falana made the appeal during the Citizens’ Townhall meeting on Voting Amidst COVID-19 on Wednesday, June 3.
Falana said that unlike the just concluded local council polls opposition parties will participate in the elections.
The senior lawyers predicted that there will be a low turn out of voters on election day. He asked the Independent National Electoral Commission to ensure that it make provisions for face masks for those who cannot afford it in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He also said that unlike the local council polls in Cross River and Benue states, the governorship elections slated for September 19 will draw opposition parties to participate in the exercise.
