Insecurity In Nigeria Now Worse Than Civil War – Emir Of Daura

By Chinenye Festus:-
Dr Umar-Farouk , who is the Emir of President Muhammadu Buhari’s community In Daura , made the comment when the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai, visited him in his palace.
The emir called for the same approach used in tackling the civil war to tackle the raging insecurity in Nigeria.

He stated that what Nigeria is experiencing now in terms of insecurity is worse than civil war

Dr Farouk used the occasion to thank the Nigerian Army for setting up a Forward Operating Base (FOB) and a battalion in Daura town, to enhance response to security threats in the area and surrounding communities.
Nigeria continues to face mounting insecurity issues across the country despite assurances of safety for citizens by security chiefs. The traditional ruler therefore advised Buratai to remain resolute, focused and shun distracting comments, he also commended the Nigerian Army and its leadership for its efforts to contain the myriad of security challenges in Nigeria and in Katsina state, in particular.
Recall that General Burutai on Monday June 29th announced that he had relocated to Katsina following continuous attacks on the state by bandits.
He said that the new Operation Sahel Sanity is designed to flush out bandits terrorising parts of the northwest zone. ‘‘I came here two days ago and we will be here for some time to coordinate activities of the troops here in order to get some succour and also be able to resolve some of the challenges,’’ Buratai told Governor Aminu Masari during a courtesy call.
