Kogi State inaugurates New Chief Of Judge

Governor Bello approved Olasuyi’s appointment as the Cheif Judge of the state in an acting capacity. Also approved in the acting capacity of the State’s Customary Court of Appeal is Bayo Olowosegun.
Mr. Olowosegun’s appointment also followed the demise of the former occupant of the office, Shaibu Atadoga, who died on June 22. Recall that the position of the Chief Judge became vacant following the death of Justice Nasir Ajanah on June 29.
The swearing-in ceremony of Justice Oluseyi was held on Wednesday in Lokoja, the state capital. He was sworn in at 10:35 am after taking his Oath of Office.
In attendance are Governor Yahaya Bello, the state Deputy Governor, Edward Onaja; Speaker of the House of Assembly, Matthew Kolawole, and other top government functionaries.
