Struggle for chairmanship seat in Abak LGA, A’Ibom deputy Governor resigns.

The Akwa Ibom state deputy governor Mr Moses has been reported saying that he has officially resigned from the politics of Abak local government area where he comes from.
Up till now the stakeholders and political leaders in Abak are still finding it difficult to understand the official resignation of the deputy governor Mr Moses Ekpo as the political leader of the area when he has not resigned as the state deputy governor.
The deputy governor popularly called uncle Mo verbally tendered his resignation last week following the ongoing power tussle between the stakeholders over imposition of council chairman.
Mr Moses Ekpo according to our check while tendering his resignation said ” I am totally disappointed by the calibre of politicians in Abak, the so-called chairman has disappointed the entire people of Abak, I am sick and tired of politics in Abak”
Newsievent correspondent in Akwa Ibom State gathered from a reliable source that the National Assembly representing Abak federal constituency at the green chambers of the National Assembly Mr Aniekan Umanah who is battling to impose the incumbent council chairman Barr. Imo Williams for a second term convened with the member representing Abak in the state House of Assembly Mr Udeme Atong, the senior Special Assistant to the governor on rural development Mrs Ekemini Umoh, the immediate past statehouse lawmaker Elder Friday Iwok, and the chapter chairman of the party Dr Michael Dan as the invitees for the meeting but they boycotted the meeting.
We also learnt that the federal house lawmaker proceeded to convene another meeting at the resident of the PDP National Legal Adviser Barr. Emmanuel but the said meeting ended in fiasco when the stakeholders walk away from the National legal Adviser with reasons that Mr. Aniekan Umanah the green chamber representative is attempting to take control of the party and as well imposed his candidate for chairmanship against the decision of the masses.
However, We gathered that when the legal Adviser Barr Emmanuel Enoidem pleaded with the stakeholders to try and resolved all the problems lingering in Abak, the stakeholders according to our source responded that the federal house lawmaker Mr Aniekan Umanah was the cause of all the problems in Abak because of his Creed.
