Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the head of media and information explained that this is in line with NCDC safety protocols. Amid the spread of COVID-19 that is raving the country, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Wednesday, July 1, told candidates to book an appointment via the phone before visiting its offices for any transaction.
This was disclosed by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, head of media and information in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
”With the ease of inter-state movement lockdown, for instance, those who have been yearning to visit our (JAMB) offices nationwide can now do so by booking an appointment with our officials, in order to get the necessary attention, while keeping safe,” he said.
Before this time, candidates had been calling the board concerning one or two issues and need to visit our offices physically to get these issues sorted out.
Benjamin urged candidates who need to visit the JAMB office to book an appointment by using the phone number used to buy the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) pin to fail *55019# and follow the instructions.
