The West African Examination Council (WAEC), on Sunday, July 5, asked Nigerians to disregard a timetable currently in circulation around the country.
Hours after the governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, announced the resumption of schools to some sets of students.
The supposed timetable claimed to be that of the body was released.
A concerned Nigerian Jamiu Kazeem Babatunde on twitter, while reacting on the news said the timetable did not emanate from WAEC.
“I would love if WAEC can attend to this question of circulating time table,” Babatunde had inquired.
In a swift response, WAEC said ”
it did not release the timetable in circulation. As you can see, it was a timetable we had used for a previous examination. Please, disregard it.”
