Alhaji Buba Galadima, a former ally of President Muhammadu Buhari has stated at the weekend that the school feeding programme of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration now that all schools are closed due to COVID-19 pandemic, is a fraud.
According to Galadima “The federal government is making Nigerians look like fools. How can somebody in his right senses say that they are doing school feeding when all the schools have been shut down?”
“They are just making Nigerians look like fools who don’t know what they are doing. It is nothing but a fraud”.
“Tell me which children in your area that they give food to or show me one person who has received the N20,000 palliative. It is so surprising that Nigerians, especially the media kept quiet in the face of all these” he said
Recall that the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development. Sadiya Umar Farouk has defended Federal Government decision to continue feeding school children even when they are in their parent’s homes citing other countries in the world where government are embarking on such project.
She said that the school feeding program is not a scam and urged Nigerians to understand that Government is doing all it can to reduce the burden and the difficulties parents are going through most importantly in this period of COVID-19 Pandemic.
