Former Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has called on the people of Zamfara State to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as part of efforts to address insecurity and economic hardship in the state and across Nigeria.

Speaking at a gathering of ADC supporters in Gusau on Sunday, El-Rufai said the party is committed to improving security, boosting the economy, and enhancing food production in Zamfara.

He urged members of the ADC to remain united and avoid internal conflicts, stressing the importance of engaging youths and women’s groups to raise awareness about the party’s programmes at the grassroots level. El-Rufai also advised eligible voters to ensure they have their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) ready ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The ADC’s Deputy National Organising Secretary, Abubakar Atiku, noted that El-Rufai’s visit would help solidify the party’s unity and strengthen cooperation among members in Zamfara.

Similarly, the State Chairman of the ADC, Alhaji Kabiru Garba, revealed that the event attracted participants from all 14 local government areas of Zamfara, including youths, women, local politicians, Islamic scholars, and community leaders, reflecting the party’s growing influence across the state.
