The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the upcoming 2025 Anambra election, Jude Ezenwafor, has expressed his readiness to collaborate with Governor Chukwuma Soludo to advance the state’s progress and stability.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday, Ezenwafor described Soludo as both a close friend and long-time associate.
“I can assist him. I have been assisting him before; he is my friend. I brought him to work in Anambra,” Ezenwafor said, highlighting their long-standing relationship.
The PDP candidate recalled playing a key role in encouraging Soludo to enter politics during his tenure as Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Willie Obiano.
“I convinced Soludo to contest the election when I was SSA to Governor Obiano. He came, he performed well, and no one is perfect,” he stated.
Ezenwafor also commended Governor Soludo’s efforts in tackling security challenges across the state, noting that improved support and equipment for security agencies would yield even better results.
“Soludo and his security team are working hard. We have capable security chiefs in Anambra; what they need is better equipment, and insecurity will end. I believe he will do more,” he added.
He confirmed that he had already congratulated Soludo on his electoral victory but maintained that he would not hesitate to hold the governor accountable if his administration fails to meet expectations.
