In the early hours of Saturday, December 6, 2025, security operatives comprising members of a local vigilante group and officers of the Nigeria Police Force apprehended a suspected armed robber at Kilometer 25 of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, near Fatokun Community in Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to reliable sources, the suspect believed to be part of a group that had attempted to break into several residences in the community was intercepted following swift intervention by the security teams. The suspects reportedly fled toward an uncompleted building within the community while trying to evade arrest. One of them was eventually captured after a brief chase by the security agencies.
Further information from the source revealed that the apprehended suspect is currently being detained at the Toll-Gate Police Division along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, where police investigators have commenced further interrogation.
