Tragedy struck along Oron Road in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, as a fatal road accident involving a bus conveying supporters to the airport to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and a security Hilux vehicle reportedly claimed seven lives, leaving several others with injuries.

The accident, which occurred today, reportedly involved a bus transporting people ahead of the President’s visit to the state. The bus was said to have collided with a security Hilux vehicle along the busy Oron Road axis.
