Abak council Chairman Hon. Ime Charles commits to building modern legislative chambers, pledges more empowerment projects.

The Executive Chairman of Abak Local Government Area, Hon. (Mrs.) Ime Charles, has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to infrastructural development and human empowerment as part of ongoing efforts to reposition Abak LGA for greater growth.

Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting held recently at the council headquarters to review the 2026 budget implementation, Hon. Charles disclosed that construction work on a modern legislative chamber is currently underway. She noted that the project, captured in the council’s budget, would be expedited to ensure early completion and commissioning.

The council boss assured stakeholders that her administration remains dedicated to completing the project and handing it over to the current legislative leadership to enhance smooth and effective legislative operations.

Beyond the legislative chambers, Hon. Charles also highlighted several other projects designed to uplift residents of Abak, including empowerment programs for traders, youths, and students across the area.

She appealed to stakeholders to continue supporting her administration to ensure the successful implementation of ongoing and future development initiatives, describing their cooperation as vital for a “safe landing” at the end of her tenure.
