The Provost and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal College of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology, Jos, Professor Obong Nkereuwem Sunday Etukudoh, has lauded the President of the Nigerian Senate, His Excellency, Chief Dr. Godswill Akpabio, for what he described as a superlative and people-centered representation in Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District.

Speaking with journalists in Jos, Prof. Etukudoh expressed deep admiration for Senator Akpabio’s commitment to the welfare of his constituents, particularly through the recent commissioning of life-touching projects and empowerment programs across 10 local government areas within the senatorial district.

According to him, Akpabio’s leadership transcends the ordinary, citing his delivery of numerous infrastructural and humanitarian projects as evidence of purposeful governance. He stressed that Akpabio’s impact reflects a rare blend of political will, compassion, and developmental foresight.

Prof. Etukudoh noted that the Senate President’s initiatives are perfectly aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aimed at revamping critical sectors of the country and lifting citizens out of poverty. He added that Akpabio’s efforts stand out as a shining example of what effective legislative representation should look like.

Describing Senator Akpabio as a national asset, the Provost emphasized that his influence and contributions go beyond Akwa Ibom State, resonating across Nigeria. “He is not just a gift to Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District but to the nation as a whole,” he said.

Etukudoh also highlighted that, for the first time, the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District are enjoying true representation on the floor of the Nigerian Senate, with visible dividends of democracy reaching even the grassroots.

He concluded by urging other political leaders to emulate Akpabio’s inclusive and people-first approach to governance, saying that such a model is key to accelerating national development and restoring public trust in democracy.
