In a continued push to strengthen leadership in Nigeria’s tertiary education sector, President Bola Tinubu has approved a new round of appointments to the Governing Councils of 36 Federal Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education across the country.

This latest announcement comes just hours after he unveiled council appointments for the University of Abuja, University of Nigeria, and Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

According to a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the newly appointed members—who hail from various states—will immediately assume roles at their respective institutions.
