Akwa Ibom at 38: Prof. Etukudoh hails Gov. Umo Eno, lauds Akpabio,Tinubu.

As Akwa Ibom State marks its 38th anniversary, Obong (Professor) Sunday N. Etukudoh, Provost of the Federal College of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology, Jos, has extended warm felicitations to Governor Umo Eno and the people of the state, praising the Governor’s impactful leadership and transformative agenda.

In a goodwill message personally signed by him, Prof. Etukudoh, who hails from Eka Midim community in Oruk Anam Local Government Area, commended the administration of Governor Eno for its strides in youth empowerment, economic growth, poverty alleviation, job creation, and healthcare improvement.

He particularly highlighted signature projects such as the Ibom Model Farm, road constructions across the three senatorial districts, and the Governor’s consistent push for electricity development, describing them as “laudable initiatives with long-term economic benefits for the state.”

“Your commitment to empowering the youth, fostering economic growth, and improving healthcare has resonated deeply with the needs of our people,” Prof. Etukudoh stated.

“Your leadership has brought peace and stability to Akwa Ibom, creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive. You have earned the love and admiration of our people.”

Prof. Etukudoh also paid glowing tribute to Akwa Ibom’s founding fathers and past Governors, recognizing their contributions to the state’s development trajectory. He further applauded Senate President Godswill Akpabio and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing admiration for their roles in Nigeria’s ongoing progress.

Reaffirming his community’s unwavering support for Governor Eno’s administration and re-election bid in 2027, the renowned academic and community leader expressed optimism about the future of the state under the Governor’s stewardship.

On behalf of the Midim Clan, Prof. Etukudoh extended a special invitation to the Governor to commission the community’s first hospital, which he said is nearing completion. He appealed for the Governor’s support in remodeling the facility into a Specialist Hospital, capable of catering to the broader healthcare needs of the area.

In a touching proposal, he disclosed the community’s desire to name the hospital in honor of the Governor’s late wife, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, fondly remembered as “Eka Iberedem Akwa Ibom.”

“It would be our honor to name this hospital after your late wife in recognition of her legacy and your family’s contributions to our community,” he added.

“We believe that this hospital will be a beacon of hope and a testament to your commitment to improving the lives of Akwa Ibom people.”

Prof. Etukudoh concluded with heartfelt prayers and best wishes for Governor Umo Eno, expressing confidence that his leadership will continue to inspire a brighter and more prosperous Akwa Ibom.

“May God continue to guide and bless you, and may your leadership inspire a brighter future for all Akwa Ibom people. Happy Felicitations and best wishes for continued success in your exalted office.”
