Communique issued by the All progressive congress APC stakeholders of Ukanafun LGA, Akwa Ibom state after a crucial meeting held at the council secretariat, Ikot Akpa Nkuk,on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

The stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ukanafun Local Government Area convened a strategic meeting at the Council Secretariat, Ikot Akpa Nkuk, on Saturday, August 2, 2025. The meeting was chaired by the Chapter Chairman, Mr. Akaninyene Ukpanah, and had in attendance prominent party leaders and stakeholders including:

• Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem, Member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives,
• Hon. (Elder) Emem Udom, Member representing Ukanafun State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly,
• Hon. Uyo Ukpanah, Executive Chairman of Ukanafun Local Government Area,
• Stakeholders from all political wards in Ukanafun LGA.

Following robust deliberations and a motion moved by Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem, seconded by Hon. (Elder) Emem Udom, the meeting unanimously adopted the following resolutions:

1. Vote of Confidence: A resounding vote of confidence is passed on His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, Ph.D, Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, for his impactful leadership and visible developmental strides across Ukanafun and the entire state.
2. Support for Unity Mantra: Ukanafun APC stakeholders unanimously align with and adopt the Unity mantra as championed by Governor Umo Bassey Eno across Akwa Ibom State.
3. Commendation of Developmental Vision: We appreciate Governor Umo Eno’s visionary efforts in improving healthcare, education, infrastructure, and the general wellbeing of the people, and pledge our continued support.
4. Endorsement of President Tinubu for 2027: We wholeheartedly endorse His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, for a second term in office in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
5. Support for Senate President Akpabio: The stakeholders unanimously support the re-election of His Excellency, Senator (Dr) Godswill Akpabio, GCON, as Senator representing Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, and affirm his leadership as the Senate President and Chairman of the 10th National Assembly.
6. Support for Governor Umo Eno’s Continuity: We declare our full support for Governor Umo Bassey Eno, Ph.D, to remain in office as Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State till 2031.
7. Commendation of Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem: The stakeholders commend the federal lawmaker for Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem, for his quality representation and legislative achievements, and encourage him to sustain his efforts in uplifting the constituency and beyond.
8. Commendation of Hon. Emem Udom: Appreciation was extended to Hon. (Elder) Emem Udom for his dedicated representation of Ukanafun State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.
9. Commendation of Hon. Uyo Ukpanah: The meeting recognized the efforts of Hon. Uyo Ukpanah, Chairman of Ukanafun LGA, for the commendable infrastructural development and transformation witnessed within his 10 months in office.
10. Adoption of Interim Local Leadership Structure: In alignment with the directive of the party’s State Leadership under Governor Umo Bassey Eno, stakeholders adopted that each Local Government Council Chairman shall serve as Interim Party Leader in their respective councils pending the emergence of a substantive leader.
11. Commitment to Party Unity: Ukanafun APC Stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to moving forward as one united front in unwavering support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Umo Bassey Eno, and all APC candidates across elective positions.

The communiqué was formally adopted through a motion moved by Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem, seconded by Hon. Ememabasi Udom, and was unanimously accepted by all critical APC stakeholders present at the meeting.
