Iroko TV Boss, Jason Njoku Apologizes To Ndi Igbo

Newsie Events Media:

The owner of Iroko TV, Jason Njoku on his Twitter page apologizes to Ndi Igbo over his negative tweets sometime last year about his Igbo identity.

Jason had in the past tweeted “My children are currently learning French, Mandarin will be up next. I intend for them to develop this over the next 10 years. They can’t speak Igbo, (neither can I). It’s okay. The world won’t shake from its foundations.

Few days ago, a section of the country went rampage on Google Play Store to flag down his app which they termed a ‘revenge mission ‘ against Crowwweee which was removed by the playstore.

Consequently, Igbos trooped to Google Playstore and IOS to give the Iroko TV app a five-star rating.

The app is still there gidigba!! cheesy.

Tendering his apology while thanking the Igbos on Twitter, Jason said, “Separately, I want to take the opportunity to apologise to Ndigbo for my glib, immature and unnecessary hurtful comments a few years back . I am Igbo, I don’t think I would ever nor ever attempted to deny that. (All my kids bear solidly Igbo names which I personally chose).

Nonetheless, 100% I personally let you all down and hope with time, i can make amends and be forgiven. It was stupid and I am trully🙏sorry. Whatever I write and ( tweet ) reflects on our entire culture and i dropped the ball on this one. Sorry. “

His apology was accepted and reacted to positively by his followers who are Igbos and non Igbos alike.
