Abak, Akwa Ibom State – The Provost of the Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology, Jos, Plateau State, Professor Nkereuwem Etukudoh, has been honoured with a prestigious Humanitarian Service Award by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) in recognition of his exceptional contributions to youth empowerment and community development.
The award presented at the resident of the Provost in Abak Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. Speaking on behalf of the national president of NSE, Engr. Margaret Oguntala, the Abak Chapter President, Engr. Nsikak Isaac, lauded Prof. Etukudoh for his consistent philanthropic activities, particularly in providing job opportunities and empowerment initiatives for young people across the region.
“Prof. Etukudoh’s commitment to humanity has not gone unnoticed. His selfless efforts in uplifting others and creating platforms for sustainable development truly exemplify what this award stands for,” Engr. Isaac remarked while presenting the award.
While congratulating Prof. Etukudoh, Engr. Isaac also emphasized the importance of such recognition in encouraging more professionals to give back to society.
In his acceptance speech, Prof. Nkereuwem Etukudoh expressed deep appreciation to the NSE for the honour, describing the award as a strong motivation to continue his service to humanity.
“I am deeply grateful to the Nigerian Society of Engineers for finding me worthy of this honour. It means a lot to me, and it will definitely spur me to do more for my people,” he said.
Prof. Etukudoh reaffirmed his commitment to human development and promised to intensify efforts towards creating more opportunities for youth and supporting initiatives that promote social welfare.
