Suspension, Scandal, Allegations: Drama Unfolds as Prof. Mgbeke Exposes Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in Explosive Live Broadcast [See Vid]

In a fiery Thursday night broadcast, U.S.-based Nigerian media figure and psychologist Dr. Sandra Duru—widely known as Prof. Mgbeke—took aim at suspended Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, accusing her of lies, calculated media stunts, and an alleged plot to undermine Nigeria’s federal government.

Dr. Duru didn’t hold back, calling for a thorough investigation into Akpoti-Uduaghan’s actions and teasing a deeper exposé she claims will air on CNN. Framing her accusations as a fight for truth and accountability, she painted a picture of manipulation, cover-ups, and political sabotage, stating emphatically: “This isn’t over. Watch CNN. I’ve got more receipts coming.

According to Duru, Akpoti-Uduaghan deleted incriminating content after realizing her attempts to manipulate her had failed. However, Duru claimed she had already submitted the material to authorities, including Nigerian police, the International Criminal Court (ICC), and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). She declared: “Watch me on CNN; I’m going to bring out more.”

Among the most shocking allegations, Duru accused Akpoti-Uduaghan of falsely implicating Senate President Godswill Akpabio in a supposed organ harvesting scheme, claiming a kidney was illegally transported from Nigeria to Europe. She dismissed the story as medically implausible and demanded the senator present evidence to support her claims.

Duru didn’t hold back in her criticism, labeling Akpoti-Uduaghan a “pathological liar” and referencing the 2021 murder of Iniobong Umoren. She alleged the senator confessed to having prior knowledge of the crime, thus making herself complicit, and reported the matter to U.S. and international authorities.

The media personality also said Akpoti-Uduaghan had privately admitted her sexual harassment allegations against Akpabio were untrue. Duru said the senator later denied ever interacting with her, even going as far as claiming Duru was a non-existent “AI” persona. To refute this, Duru displayed Akpoti-Uduaghan’s phone number and a call log from March 27 during the live broadcast, promising to post recorded conversations and messages as further proof.

“She said she hasn’t spoken to me? We don’t have anything to hide anymore. Let her lawyers bring it on,” Duru challenged.

These public claims echoed Duru’s earlier social media posts where she described Akpoti-Uduaghan as a “serial liar” and dismissed her satirical apology to Akpabio as a smokescreen. Notably, Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended from the Senate on March 6, 2025, for misconduct—not for the harassment accusations she made against Akpabio. Her suspension was reportedly due to violating Senate protocols and disruptive behavior.

Duru said she submitted forensically authenticated evidence—calls, messages, and audio files—to relevant Nigerian and international institutions. She presented an official petition under her TOF (a UN-recognised body) letterhead during the broadcast, stating that the senator was invited to respond but failed to produce evidence.

She further claimed Akpoti-Uduaghan paid for favorable media coverage on Arise TV, sponsored their awards, and enlisted the support of Dr. Oby Ezekwesili and FIDA under false pretenses to interfere with a Senate committee hearing. Duru revealed she declined an award from Akpoti-Uduaghan, saying she values integrity too much to accept such offers.

Expanding the scope of her accusations, Duru said Akpoti-Uduaghan’s real target isn’t Akpabio, but President Bola Tinubu. She alleged that the senator was promised a governorship by unnamed political figures as part of a broader opposition strategy to destabilize the government.

“The target is not the Senate president but the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Duru emphasized. “Natasha was promised a governorship by her political godfathers, and I’ve already shared their names with the authorities.”

Urging the police to take swift action, Duru drew comparisons between Akpoti-Uduaghan’s case and how activists like Omoyele Sowore are treated, insisting on accountability and transparency moving forward.
