Liverpool and football fans worldwide are mourning the sudden death of Portuguese forward Diogo Jota, who tragically lost his life in a car accident in Spain.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, the 28-year-old was traveling alongside his brother, André, when their car veered off the road on the A-52 highway in Zamora Province. Emergency services responded to the scene, but Jota did not survive the crash.
Jota’s untimely passing comes just two weeks after he tied the knot with his longtime partner, Rute Cardoso, in a heartfelt ceremony held in Porto.
