The leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has yet again blasted the Department of State Services (DSS) over the killings of IPOB members in Emene, Enugu State.
Recall that about a week ago, the officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) attacked members of the pro-Biafra group in Emene community primary school, Enugu state last Sunday while they were reportedly having their meeting. After the attack, 3 dead bodies of the IPOB members was all over social media even when it was alleged that 21 lives of the members of IPOB were lost. However, the DSS also claimed to have lost two of its officers of which no one saw their bodies.
Naija News reports that Kanu, while reacting to the attack during a live broadcast on Radio Biafra, had said the Nigerian security agents are trying to provoke members of his group, adding that the “reason they keep doing this, is because they killed us in Nkpor, Igweocha and they also came to my house and slaughtered at will, and nothing happened.”
The IPOB leader had said, “I want somebody to ask the police today, you left your Barack, your station to go to somebody’s compound to kill people today. Was there any provocation? I challenge everyone and journalists to tell the world what wrong we did.
“The reason why they keep doing this is because they killed us in Nkpor, Igweocha and they also came to my house and slaughtered at will, and nothing happened.
“They are trying to provoke us, it seems there is an unfinished business that the Fulani will like to finish as soon as possible. The question I have to ask is this, will such a thing happen in Ariwa and Oduduwa land, of course, the answer is No.”
Revisiting the matter in a tweet on the micro-blogging site on Friday, Kanu asked what the difference between Nigeria’s secret police that went to where “civilians were having a meeting and opened fire killing 21 young men and Boko Haram that went to a village market opened fire killing 15 people.”
He tweeted: “The question we are all asking: What is the difference between Nigeria’s Fulani run state secret police known as DSS that went to where civilians were having a meeting & opened fire killing 21 young men and Boko Haram that went to a village market opened fire killing 15 people?”
