The Zonal leader Christian association of Nigeria zone 12 in Ibadan, Oyo State Rev’d Timothy Oyewale has called on Christians to wake up and take appropriate responsibilities as an ambassadors of Christ.

Rev. Timothy made this called during a paper presentation at workers retreat organised by Christian association of Nigeria CAN zone 12, Elebu area, Ido LGA on 2nd October 2023.

He said ambassadors must understand the commandment of his or her sovereign land and must also understand and familiar with the constitution of his or her of services. Hence it is important for Christians to understand the context of their services to the kingdom and work in accordance to the commandments

Speaking on the theme ” Ambassadors for christ” took his message from 2nd corinthians 5:11-16-20 and Ephesians 6:20, the Zonal leader explained why Christians are ambassadors of Christ, the purpose is to bring the marvelous light of God and spread it across especially where darkness has penetrated.

Highlighting the duties of ambassadors, the clergyman said the most important duties Christians as ambassadors of Christ is to represent God on earth, correct and Rebuke sins, perform some reconciliation services repenting the unbelievers back to God.

According to the Zonal leader, to be an ambassadors of Christ one need proper and genuinely born again, knowing the central message of God and do same to others.

“we are Christ Ambassadors sent with his message of reconciliation to the world an ambassadors of reconciliation has an important responsibility, we dare not take this responsibility lightly” Rev. Timothy said.

In a medical lecture by the chief medical director ibadan Anglican diocese Olugbanga Abiodun said Christian workers need to relised the types of stressed, the man made stressed and the natural cause made stressed.

He explained that natural made stressed like terminal illness, loss of jobs, natural disasters collapsed building and all that cannot be controlled, but the man made stressed as a result of too much of hard work and labour it necessary to take rest and avoid subsequent consequences which may generate from the body.

Dr. Abiodun said some Christians have overworked themselves, thereby causing their man made stressed difficult to handle. He said CAN should engage Christians in seminars related to health to enable them take precaution on issues relating to their health.

He commended the effort of the Zonal leader Rev. Timothy for his ability to organise the free medical service Inline with the workers retreat.
