The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State and Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has donated a brand-new Toyota Camry to Mrs. Rachael Folake Alamu, the principal of Community High School, Esiele, Oriire Local Government Area, who was recently rescued after spending several weeks in kidnappers’ captivity.

The gesture comes days after Mrs. Alamu regained her freedom alongside pupils and teachers abducted during the attack on Community High School, Esiele, and Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School in Oyo State. During the period of captivity, she was reportedly compelled by the kidnappers to appear in videos sent to the outside world.

Presenting the vehicle, Senator Alli described the donation as a token of appreciation for Mrs. Alamu’s courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the safety and welfare of the abducted pupils despite the traumatic experience. He said the gift was also a demonstration of solidarity with victims of insecurity and an encouragement as she resumes her normal life and professional duties.

The APC governorship candidate commended the principal for her composure throughout the ordeal and expressed hope that the donation would contribute to her recovery and inspire others who have suffered from insecurity across the country.

The donation has been widely applauded by residents and stakeholders in Oriire Local Government Area, who described the gesture as compassionate and timely. Mrs. Alamu’s safe return, alongside the rescued pupils and teachers, brought relief to their families and communities after weeks of uncertainty.
