Former Nasarawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Yusuf Shehu Usman, has described the reported call by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members to support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election as politically suicidal.

Usman questioned the benefits of such an arrangement, arguing that it could weaken the PDP’s political interests while the party continues to compete against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in state elections.
