The federal government has warned the Ghanaian authorities that it would no longer tolerate the harassment Nigerians residing in that country.
The warning was issued by Nigeria’s minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed in a statement on Friday, August 28.
Mohammed said the federal government has been documenting the hostilities of Ghanaians authorities towards Nigerians and some of the ill-treatment includes seizure of the Nigerian Mission’s property located at No. 10, Barnes Road, the alleged demolition of the Nigerian Mission’s property located at No. 19/21 Julius Nyerere Street, East Ridge, Accra and reported incessant deportation of Nigerians from Ghana.
Mohammed said the repeated harassment of Nigerians and being made objects of ridicule in Ghana has to stop because it is no longer acceptable and Nigeria will not tolerate the embarrassment under any guise.
