Many Feared Dead As Nigerian Police Attacks Unarmed IPOB Members

Nigerian Police have attacked members of the Indigenous People of Biafra as many were believed to have been killed and several others wounded.
According to the eyewitness account, trouble started at about 7.00 am on a Sunday morning when some police officers invaded the community secondary School Emene where members of unarmed IPOB were meeting.
Police arrived there and started shooting in a bid to disperse them and also arrest them. the attack took place at Emene, Enugu, the eyewitness said that the attempt was resisted by members of Indigenous people of Biafra and that turned bloody.
During the encounter, IPOB members reportedly overpowered the security operatives who resorted to shooting live bullet at them as two confirmed IPOB members lie dead while several others are wounded.
Sounds of gunfire and teargas fumes filled the area, particularly between St Patrick Secondary School and St Joseph Catholic Church along the old Abakaliki Road.
