Soldiers Arrest Veteran Nollywood Actor, Chinwetalu Agu, For Wearing Branded Biafran Colour Attire in Onitsha [Video]

Veteran Nollywood Actor, Chiwetalu Agu been been arrested by Nigerian soldiers in Onitsha.

According to a video making rounds in the social media and obtained by Newsie Events, men of the Nigerian military were seen dragging him when crowd gathered, gun shots was fired that got everyone running.

The actor, Chiwetalu Agu, known for his theatrical roles in Movies was wearing a branded material, designed with colours of Biafran flag.

Based on reports, Agu was apprehended for putting on the branded biafran colour designed material in Upper Iweka, Onitsha by a number of soldiers on Thursday, as was seen in the viral video.

The actor lately has been on the news for rocking in the public, a Biafran outfit.

Before now, the Indigenous Peoples Of Biafra (IPOB), who are agitating for the Independent state of Biafra has been been banned from bringing to public Biafra-related items including flags, banners.
This was contained in a proscription law by the governors of the states that warned users to desist or face the law.

It would be recalled that members of the freedom fighters under the aegis of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have faced brutal clampdown by the federal government for protesting for Biafra sovereign nation.

According to a report by Amnesty International over one hundred and fifty members of IPOB were slain by the Nigerian forces.

Since the popular actor was brutally arrested, no official statement has been made either by the Army or the actors guild of Nigeria.
