Members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Caucus in the House of Representatives on Thursday demanded the impeachment of President Buhari over the insecurity situation in the country.

At a press conference in Abuja, Kingsley Chinda, the leader of the PDP caucus, made the call in response to the abduction of students of the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara area of Katsina State by Boko Haram.

Speaking in the company of members of the PDP caucus, Chinda said, “The president should be impeached over the growing insecurity in the country.”

It would be recalled that Boko Haram had abducted an unspecified number of students. Some reports said they were about 600 students, Katsina State Governor, said they were 333 students from the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.

However, the terrorist group, Boko Haram later claimed responsibility for the abduction, citing their anger at western education. The Shekau faction said their action was to discourage western education and encourage Islam.

Meanwhile, the terrorist group again, on Thursday, released a video to prove they are in custody of the abducted students.

The boys were seen in the video clip which is six-minute-and-30-second long, all covered in dust within a forest area.

One of the schoolboys who spoke in the video asked the Nigerian government to cancel every plan of using force to rescue them but to settle with their abductors amicably.

.He also disclosed that some other students were killed.
