… As Miss Oro rant 2021 holds maiden Essay writing competition
The Governor, Board of directors, Tower of Ivory Schools Nigeria, Rtd DIG Udom Ekpoudom has charged the youths and students of Akwa Ibom State on skills and Intellectual creativity which is one of the ways to tackle unemployment in the state.
The Chairman drop the hit on Thursday, 2nd December, 2021 during the maiden Essay writing competition organized by the office of Miss Oro Rant 2021 at Dorothy hall, Tower of Ivory School, Abak, with the Theme” The Akwa Ibom of my dream”
The Senate topnotch, encouraged the students not to only depend on their certificate which the world today has moved beyond the A4 paper certificate rather they should discover their talent and make good use of it.
He stressed that every student may have a skill, or learn a skill to help him or her meet the society and also to boost their academic career.
DIG Ekpoudom commended the effort of the staff and management of Tower of Ivory School for impacting meaning in the life of the students both in discipline, morals and also character.
The Guber Senatorial Aspirant advised the students while in the Tertiary institution to shun cultism, bad companion, prostitution and other vices rather they should be good ambassadors, who will be projecting the image of the school wherever they find themselves in the society.
He commended the organizers of the competition for initiating such a great academic program to impact knowledge among Students of the Tertiary institution, also calling on the Akwa Ibom State Government to take into consideration the plight of the students who pen down their dreams and wishes for a better Akwa Ibom State for the generation yet unborn.
Ekpoudom urged the students to emulate their predecessors and always remembering their root in whatever they are doing and giving back to their Alma Mata.
Also speaking, Miss Oro Rant 2021, Miss Helen Ononokpono appreciated the BOG Chairman for taking upon himself to support and initiate this program when the team relate their mission and vision with him in his office.
She congratulated all the competitors and the Winners for making it to the top and are gathered here today to be honored.
She advised her colleagues to always remember why they live their parents houses to the school environment which is their academic pursue and always place priority to it.
Responding on behalf of the awardees, the overall winner a student of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), Mr Iniubong Udoma thanked the BOG Chairman and the organizers of the Essay writing competition to such an initiative to impact knowledge on the students and the society at large.
Highpoint of the event featured, presentation of prices to the winners of the competition, music display among others.
