The vice Dean of students current Affairs Akwa Ibom State University Dr. Imoh Imoh Ita has donated a set of Table tennis to the Tower of Ivory International Academy.
Dr. Ita’s donation, which was as a result of his love for children and passion for sports took place on Thursday 4th March 2022.
While making the donation, Dr Ita said that the gesture was a modest way of giving back and encouraging student to adhere in sport activities outside their education. He also said the Table tennis was meant to give the school a focus in sporting events, a new look and makes the students fit during games with other schools.
Dr Ita, who was the special guest of honour and patron of the Yellow House in the maiden sports competition, described the gifts as the start of more sports initiatives.
He therefore, encouraged students to stay focused and always concentrate on their studies while also striving to do well in sports. Furthermore he admonished them to avoid social vices such but strive to be responsible children in society. He commended the effort of the managing team of the college especially the Chairman Board of Governors Tower of Ivory schools Nigeria, for setting up an academic standard in the private sector.
.” In response, the school’s principal, the Chairman board of Governors Tower of Ivory schools Nigeria, DIG Udom Ekpoudom Rtd, said that the sporting goods would help boost student morale during in-state and out-of-state sports activities, thanked the Dr. Imoh Imoh Ita for the surprise gift to the college, promising that the items would be used appropriately to promote sports in the school.
