The Provost Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology, Jos, Plateau state, Dr. Nkereuwem Etukudo, has extolled the determination quality of Miss Hilda Bassey popularly known as Hilda Baci for her passion and determination to break the Guinness World record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
Nigerian chef, Hilda Bassey Effiong, popularly known as Hilda Baci, set a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours. Hilda earlier surpassed the previous record set by Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, in 2019. Lata Tondon cooked for 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds to break the previous title.
Dr. Etukudoh specially commended Hailda Baci for her zealous spirit and for representing the best attributes of Akwa Ibom State.
The Provost spoke with the Chef via a telephone call from Jos Plateau state capital shortly and was full of praises for Hilda’s passion and determination to break the Guinness World record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
“This is what the outgoing government of president Muhammadu Buhari and the incoming administration of His Excellency senator Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu stand for; the determination to dare and conquer what others assume to be impossible. We salute you for putting our culinary skills on full display and of course, our nationally and internationally celebrated cuisines.
“You are an inspiration to millions of Nigerians, and especially our dear fellow Akwa Ibomites. We are all solidly behind you as you embark on this inspirational moment
He congratulated Hilder Baci for motivating other Akwa Ibom youths to awake for greater responsibilities.
