Twin sisters allegedly kill elder brother for selling their father’s land in Cross River

In Ikot Nakanda, Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State, twin sisters Ikwo and Idak Effiom Effiong are accused of killing their older brother Kokoette Effiom Effiong over their father’s landed property.

The pair, who are currently working for the police, asserted that their brother had amassed a sizeable quantity of money from the sale of their father’s property without sharing the proceeds.

They requested an equal distribution of the money from the sale of another piece of land, according to CrossRiverWatch. But the plot to kill their sibling was sparked by their brother’s refusal to do so.

According to reports, Kokoette was severely knifed in the head during the twins’ attack.

According to Kokoette’s cousin, Otop Idebe, the sisters lured Kokoette from the house to a shrub in front of their house before attacking him, leaving Kokoette with serious cuts on his head and arms.

The police have detained the accused in order to conduct additional inquiries.
