Medical Assistant Commits Suicide Inside Medical Center Where She Works In Lagos [Photos]

A tragic incident occurred at a medical center in Lagos, where a medical assistant, identified as Victoria, took her own life on Sunday, December 31, 2023, in the Surulere area.

The Medical Director of the health center notified the Surulere Police Division after Victoria was absent from her duty post.
Efforts to contact her were unsuccessful until her phone was heard ringing from within a locked room.

Despite attempts to gain access, the door remained locked from the inside. A carpenter was eventually called to force the door open, revealing Victoria’s lifeless body on the bed.

Upon investigation, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) discovered various medications, injections, and syringes nearby. There were no visible signs of injury on her body, indicating a possible overdose. Victoria’s body has been taken to the morgue.
