A 26-year-old Australian woman, Annie Knight, has reportedly lost her corporate job after her employer discovered her OnlyFans account, where she shares adult content.
According to Daily Mail, Knight recounted her experience during an appearance on SBS’s Insight, explaining that she was surprised to be dismissed from her corporate role despite having worried about the possibility when she first joined the subscription-based platform.
“Yes, that was definitely my number one concern when I first started my account. And the last thing I wanted to do was to get fired if someone found my OnlyFans,” she shared.
Her fears eventually became reality a few years later when she was dismissed from a new job just five days after resuming work.
“I had just started a new job. I was on day five, and I actually went home sick that day, and I received an email saying termination of contract,” she explained.
According to Knight, the termination email included screenshots from her OnlyFans account and outlined three reasons for the company’s decision. These included allegations that she had misrepresented her side business, failed to obtain the company’s permission to operate it and shared online pornographic images of herself accompanied by what the employer described as crude language.
The company reportedly considered her activities unacceptable. Although Knight challenged the decision, she said she was not particularly interested in fighting to keep the job because she had already become unhappy with the role.
“I did, only because by day five I hated the job so much that I wasn’t going to fight the ruling. But I was definitely very upset and very angry at the decision.”
Knight, a former marketing manager, reportedly opened her OnlyFans account in September 2020 to save money towards buying a house. What began as a side project soon became a significant source of income.
She continued creating content for about 18 months while maintaining her full-time job, reportedly earning an average of $1,794 per month during that period. She now makes approximately $969 daily from sharing content online.
Despite the circumstances surrounding her dismissal, Knight said she has become happier since leaving corporate employment and is enjoying greater independence.
“I’m earning a considerable amount more now than I was at the other job,” she told Jam Press.
Knight has also attracted attention for her public comments about her sex life. Earlier in the year, she appeared on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, where she spoke about her sexual experiences and claimed to have slept with 300 men and women over the course of a year.
“I’m down to try anything,” she said, adding that she does “pretty much everything” on her OnlyFans account.
She also disclosed that she had been intimate with five different people in a single day, explaining that she meets some partners through dating applications while maintaining relationships with others she described as regular partners.
“I feel empowered afterwards,” she said. “Sex makes me feel good. It’s meant to make you feel good.”
Knight further shared anecdotes about her sexual encounters, including one that took place under a restaurant table during a date. She also said there were occasions when she felt eager to have sex while out in public and would take a partner to a bathroom.
Her experience has drawn attention to the challenges people can face when their online activities intersect with traditional workplace expectations, particularly when employers discover content employees produce outside their regular jobs.
