In Pennsylvania, Carol Kazeem retained her position in the State House of Representatives, representing District 159, after defeating Republican challenger Michael Bannon.

Another Nigerian-American, Segun Adeyina, was also leading in the contest for Georgia House District 110 as of Wednesday, although the final outcome of the race was yet to be established.
