Chairman of the Nigerians In Diaspora Commission, (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa has disclosed the main reason behind UAE’s authorities turning back Nigerians with valid visas back at the airport.
She mentioned that the UAE authorities recently released new guidelines for visa applications for certain age categories. She said many Nigerians now try to circumvent the guidelines by applying for “ family visas”. She said they get the visas and travel alone and then get turned back at the airport.
She also mentioned that six months genuine bank statement,accommodation as well as return ticket must be produced but that some Nigerians do not provide these on arrival and are turned back.
