2023 Presidency: Reno Omokri Commends Buhari’s New Directive, Says It’s Incomplete If Emefiele Didn’t Resign

Newsie Events :

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for directing all ministers with intention to run for elective offices in 2023 to resign.

On Wednesday, President Buhari had ordered the likes of Chris Ngige, Abubakar Malami, Timipre Sylva,  Ogbonnaya Onu,  Emeka Nwajiuba and Rotimi Amaechi who have declared their presidential ambition to resign before Monday 16th of May, 2022.

Mr President gave the directive to cabinet members during the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), on Wednesday.

In his reaction to the directive, Omokri urged Buhari to also order the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, to resign too.

He wrote, ”General Buhari’s order to his ministers who want to contest for the Presidency to resign with immediate effect is commendable, yet incomplete.

”For it to have potency, it must be expanded to include Emefiele, the CBN Governor, whose conflict of interest is alarming.”
