Alhaji Chief Baale Abdul Rauf Iyanda Olajide was a voice to the voiceless in Olegun oleyo community – progressive Baale’s organisation.

It was another moment to remember the good qualities of the departed community leader and former chairman of progressive Baale’s in Oluyole LGA, Oyo State, Late Alhaji Chief Baale Abdul Rauf Iyanda Olajide as the family, Muslim community, traditional fathers gather at the palace of the late monarch on Sunday 5th November 2023 to celebrates his 5 years remembrance.

It can be recalled that the late community leader joined his ancestors in 2018 after a fulfilled life accomplishing at Olegun oleyo community.

The 5th year remembrance ceremony organised by the children led by the senior son and the incumbent Baale of Olegun oleyo community Alhaji Chief Kabir Olajide told Independent Watch News that the good qualities of the father has already stand a sand of time.

Chief Kabiru described his father as one that was devoted to community development and consistency in his philanthropical attributes of building people in the society.

Alhaji Olajide Kabiru who is also the state Chairman of Oyo State registered timber contractors and saw-milers association said the father did not only developed his community but build mosque for the worship of Almighty Allah.

He said “I am sitting here as Baale of my community because my father laid the foundation, he established what I am enjoying today, he worked hard for it. I pray I will do same to my people, I will extend the love in continuation from where my father stop, work assiduously for the benefits of my people in the community”

Also speaking Alhaji Tajudeen Abiodun extolled the determination quality of the late Baale who single-handedly build mosque for members of the Muslim religion to worship of Almighty Allah.

He said for a man to undertook such a magnificent project is a prove of his heart for God, he was a lover of God and one that help the people just like his son Alhaji Kabiru who is taking over the place of his father and act fervently like his father. He pray Almighty Allah to continue to uphold the family.

Speaking in the same vein the Baale of Asaka community and one of the senior baales in Ibadanland Baale Asimiyn commended the good qualities of Chief Kabiru Iyanda Olajide for finding it right to remember his worthy predecessor and father.

He said the late Baale was a community leader per-excellence who worked effectively for the growth and development of Olegun oleyo community.

He acknowledged the contribution of the Muslim community for their Uninterrupted prayers for the Baale’s family.

Also speaking was a friend of the family Mr. Kunle Olayiwola, showered praises on Baale Kabiru, describing him “like father like son”

In their goodwill message, presented on behalf of the progressive Baale’s in Oluyole LGA Alhaji olalekan Fatokun, the Baale of Omi Fatokun Community noted that the late Baale was not just a voice to the voiceless in Olegun oleyo community but was an agent of development to the traditional institution of Ibadanland.

He appreciated the effort of Alhaji Chief Kabiru Olajide for remembering the legacies of his beloved father and decided to celebrates the landmark achievement the father recorded while he was alive.

He prayed for the elevation of kingship stool upon his friend and colleague Alhaji Chief Kabiru Olajide, stressing that he has handled the father’s position effectively and deserve to be elevated.

Part of the activities to marked the 5th year remembrance was fund raising for the building and completion of mosque where it necessary.

In attendance where children of the late Baale led by Alhaji Chief Baale Kabiru Iyanda Olajide, wife of the late Baale, progressive Baale’s in Oluyole LGA, Muslim community, Olegun oleyo community amongst others.
