Muslim faithfuls in Ayegun Oleyo, Ibadan Oyo state capital gathered in large numbers alongside the Baale, community leaders, and council members at the Yidi praying ground to observe the Eid-el-Kabir prayer in an atmosphere of peace, unity, and gratitude to Allah.
Speaking with Newsieevents shortly after the prayer session, the Imam of Ayegun Oleyo, Muhammad Tajudeen Aniponpo, called on Muslims across the country to remain faithful, peaceful, and law-abiding citizens. He stressed the importance of continuous prayers for the nation, especially against insurgency and insecurity in Oyo State and other parts of Nigeria.
According to the Islamic cleric, the Muslim community remains committed to seeking divine intervention for lasting peace, stability, and progress in the country.
Also speaking, the Baale of Ayegun Oleyo, Kabiru Olajide, appreciated God for His faithfulness to both Muslims and Christians despite the current economic challenges facing the nation.
The traditional ruler noted that Nigerians have continued to show resilience and patience amid hardship, while urging citizens to remain hopeful and supportive of efforts aimed at improving the economy.
He applauded the efforts of Bola Ahmed Tinubu towards stabilizing the nation’s economy and ensuring gradual recovery from economic instability.
Baale Olajide further commended Muslim faithfuls for their steadfast prayers for peace, unity, and calmness in the country, emphasizing that collective prayers and harmony among citizens remain essential for national development.
