Mrs Bianca Ojukwu, lawyer, diplomat and the widow of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu has expressed her excitement at the inauguration of Prof Chukwuma Soludo as the governor of Anambra State. She described the inauguration as “Liberation Day”.

The very elegant woman, in a statement she posted to her Facebook page on Thursday, said, “It’s Liberation Day, and today we sing the Redemption Song. Anambra will be better.

She described the inauguration of the new governor as “the long awaited return to the promised land,” calling the day “a day that reaffirms the age long truth that no-one holds the stage forever.”
“I used to wonder….But now I know.

“Now I know just how those Israelites felt on the day they took those tentative first steps out of the land of Egypt….Just the sheer excitement and anticipation of liberation, the long awaited return to the promised land must have kept them awake through that night.
“This is the Day the Lord has made…a day that reaffirms the age long truth that no-one holds the stage forever. I thank the Almighty for keeping us all alive to witness this day.
“To Him be the glory.

“It was long in coming, but it’s finally here…
“A more dynamic and progressive Anambra is achievable.

“Yes indeed….WE ARE THE BARRACKS!” she wrote.

The whole social media followers has been agog at the fight that ensued between the wife of the outgoing governor of Anambra State, Ebelechukwu Obiano, and Bianca Ojukwu at the inauguration of the new governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.

It was gathered that the fight was as a result of a reported age-long rancour between the two families in the times past.

Recall that in the build up to the November 2021 governorship elections, the wife of the late Ikemba and ex-governor Willie Obiano were reportedly engaged war of words.
Bianca Ojukwu had accused Ebelechukwu Obiano of saying her husband was no longer relevant to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, which informed her absence from the party’s campaign inauguration.

According to the Punch report, Ojukwu described APGA as a secret cult, blaming Obiano for its dwindling fortunes.

Again, at the Ikemba’s posthumous birthday celebration in 2019, a war of words reportedly ensued between Ojukwu and ex-governor Obiano’s wife over the absence of the ex-governor Obiano at the event.

It was that continued rancour that manifested immediately after the oath of office for the new governor, Soludo had been administered, Ebelechukwu Obiano reportedly walked up to where Bianca Ojukwu was seated, and a fight ensued between them.
Sources at the event who shared accounts of what transpired said that ex-governor Obiano’s wife got to where Bianca Ojukwu was seated and started hurling imsults at her and that prompted her (Ojukwu) to give ex-governor’s wife a dirty slap.

More details of what actually transpired coming.
