Binding Spirit Of Poverty Does Not Work, It’s Unscriptural Says Reno Omokri

Newsie Events:-
The former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan and best-selling author, Reno Omokri has described the act of binding poverty which many pentecostal churches do these days as unscriptural.
He made this known via a Facebook post on his page.
Omokri opined that being poor is a consequence of many factors and that the thought of praying to bind poverty does not work because poverty is not a spirit.
The best selling author said that ignorance, laziness, being unimaginative, having too many children, and living an undisciplined lifestyle and other vices are causes of poverty.
He, therefore, admonished people to stop binding poverty and get to work. “It is not only nonsensical, but it is also very unscriptural. Job was rich because he had businesses.”
Read the full statement;

“Dear Christians,
Binding the spirit of poverty does not work, because poverty is not a spirit. It is a consequence. Poverty is the consequence of many factors, including, ignorance, laziness, being unimaginative, having too many children, illiteracy, living an undisciplined life, and replacing work with prayer! So, stop binding poverty. It is not only nonsensical, it is very unscriptural. Job was rich because he had businesses. Lydia of Thyatira was wealthy because she traded in purple linen. Nobody in Scripture became rich by binding poverty!”
