President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that the whole thing about the #EndSARS protest last year against police brutality was targeted at removing him from office.
Buhari mentioned this on Thursday morning when he appeared on Arise TV.
He said that as a result of the protest, Nigeria has become unattractive to investors and he blamed that on those that participated in the protest.
Mr President also blamed the protest as the cause of dwindling inflow of foreign direct investment to the country.
And when he was asked how he could improve foreign direct investment in Nigeria.
In response, Buhari said, “This question was answered last year when there was the #EndSARS protest. You remember the young people that wanted to march here and remove me?”
He added, “Tell the young people to behave themselves and make the country safe, then we can attract real investors to the country”.
